Wow, you people fail... + grail get!
My f-list fails at guessing the series in the 10 favorites meme. Or maybe I just like unpopular series...
1. Small people with random skills go on a road trip and fight large people with government connections. Answer - One Piece
This answer makes a lot more sense if you've actually read One Piece. The enemies, especially the government officers, have a tendency to be unusually tall.
2. A traumatized English teacher tries to be a good person. Everyone ignores him - with the exception of his student, God, who mocks him and then ignores him. Answer - Nabari no Ou
4. An old woman breaks into a con man's house. Romance ensues. Or, alternatively: a pretty boy falls in love with his ninety-year-old housekeeper. Answer - Howl's Moving Castle
8. A group of teenagers, including a gothy geek, a teen genius, an emo chick, and a rebellious mexican, save the world using junk. They exist outside of our timeframe, too. Answer - Midnighters trilogy (didn't really expect anyone to get this)
Bonus: World's greatest magician forgets to do a background check on his apprentices. Answer - Final Fantasy III
Yeah, I don't know what this one means either. All the playable characters are orphans. Not sure how that qualifies for a background check though...
I just realized I have a high percentage of manga/anime titles on that list. I swear I do more than read manga all day. Most of my favorite books and games don't have entries, or don't have very interesting entries. I wanted to add one of the Realm of the Elderlings trilogies to the list but I know none of my f-list has a clue what that is. Sometimes I feel so alone in my fandoms...
Finally, after two times of losing the auction... GRAIL GET! I slept through the cheaper one and ended up paying a little more for this than I expected (it's going to be more than 1/1 Eevee, possibly), but I'm happy to finally win this. It only took me 10 months of searching and two failed auctions... This is getting shipped with Sothe the 1/1 Vee and another of my highly wanted items. I'm going to squeal like a fangirl when this package arrives in the mail.
Speaking of squealing like a fangirl, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is epic. I had to stop myself from squealing audibly when the Greil mercenaries made their grand entrance. Not to mention the game keeps teasing me with Ike/Soren conversations. If I didn't know better, I'd think it was canon...
