I think that's considered cheating...

I finally managed to beat Karen after teaching Focus Blast to my Typhlosion, but I kept losing against Lance. Aside from the fact that every Pokemon on my team is weak to Aerodactyl, he also has three Dragonites. Seriously, THREE? I thought he was supposed to have TWO? Or one, and two Dragonairs? Or maybe I'm just remembering Red/Blue/Yellow. I managed to get him down to his last Dragonite and almost KO'd it with my Espeon, but then he used a Full Restore and proceeded to kill me. ;__;

I finally got sick of trying to beat him with my official team. I pulled Lugia out of my PC box, taught it Blizzard, and watched as it single-handedly beat Lance. Somehow I can't help but feel like I cheated. Not to mention Lugia now has unwanted EVs, but I will delete those later.

So I have finally beat the Elite Four after 25 hours of playtime! It feels like such a hollow victory though. Shame on my for using a legendary Pokemon that wasn't part of my team.

My current team is:
Tormod-Typhlosion-desperately needs Thunderpunch but I can't find any Heart Scales
Micaiah-Espeon-surprisingly good Special Attack even though I didn't EV train her. I wonder if I lucked out with IVs, or if her base stats are just that good.
Kurthnaga-Dratini-he's so underleveled. ;__; He'll be a Dragonite eventually (that is, when I find an Exp Share)
Tibarn-Pidgeot-I'm quickly discovering how worthless Pidgeot is after the 5th gym or so. As much as I wanted to raise a Pidgeot, it's too stressful. I might replace him with someone else. You have failed me, Tibarn!
Sothe-Leafeon-Okay, I still need to hatch him... but he will be on my team shortly. His father is my battle Umbreon, Kieran who was NOT named after the Fire Emblem character but I still think the coincidence is funny

So I have 1-2 slots to fill. Maybe more, since Micaiah and Tormod are over-leveled and will have learned all their attacks long before I finish Kanto.

I desperately need something that can take hits. Aside from Micaiah, who has terrible defenses, my team cannot take any Rock attacks... or Water/Dark/Thunder attacks to a lesser extent. Leafeon has a nice defense but a poor special defense, so I won't be able to count on that for in-game trainers. Any suggestions for a good in-game tank, or a good rock and electric resister? My problem is that I hate most rock and steel Pokemon aside from Steelix (and I'm trying not to train one of those again because I train one in every game). I am trying to use Pokemon that I normally dislike (such as Dragonite and Leafeon) but there are limits to which Pokemon I can tolerate.

I thought about raising a Lugia for its amazing defenses but I already have a Lugia on my competitive team and that doesn't help with the Rock weakness. :/

If I ever manage to catch Raikou, I might make him a part of my team. I'm still undecided. I don't particularly need another special sweeper. However, he would make an excellent Muarim for Tormod. And I've been wanting to raise a Raikou since GSC originally came out. This is such a hard decision!

Also, any Pokemon on my team must fit my Fire Emblem theme which shouldn't be that hard since there are well over 50 characters to choose from.

So... team suggestions, anyone?

You know the grail that popped up on Y!J? Today another one was listed for 500 yen less than the first. Leave it to me to jump at the more expensive one, only to have a cheaper one appear two days later. lol What is this? I search for months for this thing and two appear in the same weak, for the cheapest prices I've ever seen them listed at? I don't think I'll have to worry about losing it this time. Surely I can win one of them...

Edit: What is up with Japanese manga and cross-dressing? And how in the world does Oz look cuter than Alice in those maid outfits? Does not compute!

rant, grail alert!, failure at pokemon, pokemon
