Someone please help me with Facebook + Korra thoughts

I rarely use Facebook, but when I do, my friend feed is always cluttered with status updates from "friends" I don't care about. Mostly people who went to high school with me. I never talked to these people, but I accepted their friend requests anyway because denying them seemed rude.

Anyway, I decided to change my preferences so I would only see ( Read more... )

Another thing that kinda bothered me about Aang was the comment about Toph's nickname for him. I feel like it was completely for the fans or something. Aang, if you're 40 years old, then you should know Toph well enough by now that she CAN'T STOP WON'T STOP calling you Twinkletoes.

Yeah, unfortunately I think they'll just chalk it up to "tarrlok and yakone are special" and that's that. SIGH... I was hoping the koi fish sculptures on his wall behind the water had something to do with it, maybe they were connected to the Ocean and Moon Spirits or something? :| oh well.

Yeah, exactly. Mako was awesome to watch when he had probending or protecting Bolin to focus on. I feel like since the series is pretty short, they haven't had enough time to really develop Team Avatar's friendships. It can't be helped, but in a:tla I felt like the gaang were all so incredibly close, like they'd go to the ends of the earth for each other. I'm not feeling that so much with Team Avatar 2.0. Katara, Sokka, Toph and Zuko all fought along side Aang because they all had a common goal, to stop the war. Mako, Asami and Bolin all seem to be helping out just because they're friends of Korra's? I mean I'm sure they want Amon gone as well, but would they really be so actively involved without Korra leading the way?

oops long comment

I never thought of it that way, but you're right. It did seem kind of ooc for Aang to say that. Somehow, I doubt that he'd care that much.

Right, he never even seemed to mind the nickname when he was 12. maybe he's going through a mid-life crisis
