Good job breaking it, LJ

Mar 01, 2012 22:28

I just bought a paid account because I was starting to really miss my icons and the ability to track threads.

And then (just to spite me for having a free account for so long, I suppose) LJ decided to break all my icons by naming them things like "pic #107049119".

The super frustrating part is that when I had a free account, the names were correct. Even though I couldn't use anything other than my original 15 icons, the others still showed up in the selection menu with the right names. When I try to select an icon now, this is what happens:

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU, LJ?!

Are you telling me that I have to re-name all my icons--all 80 of them--EVERY time I renew my paid account? On top of that, it deleted all the "notes", which was where I credited the icon makers. Meaning I no longer know who made the icons to begin with. And not giving credit is some type of high crime on the internet, punishable only by death.

Thankfully I was able to search through my internet history and find a page that still has the icon names and credits, but I should not have to spend half an hour fixing my icons just to be able to use them again.

LJ is the only site I know of that breaks when you pay for additional features.

rant, livejournal, first world problems, spamming my f-list, i never shut up, complaining, rage
