NEW POKEMON GAMES ANNOUNCED! HAVE YOU SEEN THE KYUREM FORMS?! Well, yes, I'm sure you have, but I'll talk about them anyway because you care so much.
I'm kind of iffy on these two. It's a nice idea if Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom used to be one Pokemon, but I feel like they could have pulled it off better. The designs seem a bit cluttered, and the angle of the tails is bothering me. The Reshiram version looks better than the Zekrom version imho, though I wish Reshi-rem didn't have that gravity-defying tuft of fur attached to its arm. (Seriously, what purpose does that serve?) I am, however, immensely thankful that they got rid of Reshiram's furry penis fur tuft. I will never understand how that got past the design stage to begin with.
More importantly, this is Black 2 and White 2, not Grey. Do you know what that means? NO MORE CHANGING 1% OF THE PLOT AND PASSING IT OFF AS A NEW GAME, THAT'S WHAT. I like Yellow, Crystal, and Emerald well enough (not so much Platinum because I didn't like gen 4), but that formula was getting really old. I am super excited for these games because we might get to see what happened after the events of Black and White. (Specifically, whether Team Plasma makes a comeback or if there is a new villain.) Also, a sequel means the possibility of more N, which I will never say no to.
Between these and Nobunaga's Ambition and the high probability of RSE remakes, it's an exciting year for Pokemon news.
Speaking of Pokemon, does anyone have a Magmortar on Black/White that I could borrow? It's the last Pokemon I need to complete my national Pokedex, and I can't get one myself because the stupid evolution-item-each-day man won't give me a Magmarizer. And I can't look for one on GTS because I haven't "seen" it in my Pokedex. :/
In "real life" news, I went to Dave and Buster's with some friends last night. It's basically an adult arcade with a restaurant and bar attached. It was fun, though I learned that playing DDR while on a 1200 calorie diet is probably not the best idea but still a better idea than playing DDR with a margarita as your only beverage between songs. I felt like I was going to pass out after the third song on standard mode. Granted, I am out of practice, but I normally don't feel like fainting after 3 songs. I think I would have been okay had I eaten something, but unfortunately, the restaurant had a 3-4 hour wait just to get a table.
