Littlest Pet Shop has taken over my counter.

I finally sorted through my Littlest Pet Shop toys. It took about four hours to separate the sets since everything was mixed together in one huge box.

I'm posting this mostly because atateatarin asked me which sets I had, but I figured that someone else on my f-list might enjoy it for the nostalgia factor. Surely I am not the only one who used to play with ( Read more... )

ahhhhhhh so cuuute! :D Yesss that huskies set, I love mine so much ;; I thought the mcdonald's pets were great, I wish they'd made more fantasy pets in the retail sets. Maybe if they'd been around longer :< (I also always felt kind of cheated that there was a kangaroo in the art for the Zoo's divider, but no G1 kangaroo was ever made :<)

What were you thinking of asking for the pink long-haired kitty set, the sick puppy set, the baby bunnies in the pink basket or for the brown bunny in the second to bottom pic? :3

Bottom stuff looks like off-brands, and the brown brush is from the Grand Champions horse line :D The white thing might be LPS though if it's some kind of blanket? The shiny thing is from the champion pony set in your pics, it's the saddle blanket for the black saddle :3 The poofy pink thing and the ribbon decoration in the pic with the pink kitty are also for the pony pair set, and then your pony pair set is complete (which is really great for pony sets :D most of them are always missing hair decorations or saddles or food dishes :D)

Why didn't they stick around longer? One year I was collecting them, and the next they had completely vanished from stores.

Hmm, not including shipping, how about...

Pink kitty: $4
Sick puppy: $5
Bunnies in basket: $3
Brown bunny: $2-$3 (may be a bit high, but he's one of the ones I might keep)

Feel free to counter-offer on those. As I said in the post, I am going off ebay prices (when I can find them) and you know more about these sets than I do.

Oh, that's what those horses were called! I could not remember for the life of me what their names were, but I loved playing with them as a kid. I still have the horses somewhere.

Do you have any idea what the completed pony set would sell for? I only see incomplete sets that didn't sell on ebay.

Thanks for all the help!

They were really popular in their first three years when they were doing pets, zoo, country and then the sparkling ponies, but in about 94/95/early 96 they started making stuff like tie-ins, merpets and the brushables and the line really tanked in popularity. Overall it technically ran from 92-96 (only 93-95 here) so it wasn't too bad for a toy run in the early 90's. Kenner was a bit funny like that with its later additions to its toylines, like with Jurassic Park, the series 2 of both the first and second film toylines had really messed-up distributions that make the toys really hard and costly to get.

Those prices look pretty sound to me :3 I'd definitely love to take them. Do you have an idea of what shipping would be?

Grand Champions were lovely. I wish I could find my horses ;; I still find brushes all over the place though XD

The later pony sets can sometimes be hard to find complete and without ratty hair. The pony set should be worth at least $20, especially because it has the hair decorations and it looks like it's in great condition. I paid $25 for mine complete with worn box about five years ago. However prices in general seem to be really down at the moment for some reason so it might be a good idea to hang on to the complete sets to list a little later. Like I noticed that a water garden kitties set complete sold for $10 recently which is really, really bizarre.

The ones I think should be okay sellers are the Zebra, which is complete, the Champion Jumping Ponies, and the Desert Running Lizard which looks like it's only missing its tag. That one I've seen go for really bizarre prices over the years; one moment it'd be selling for $5, and then suddenly it was selling loose complete for $40. It's... really unpredictable. I just looked it up and it looks like one sold loose on its own for $5 so the price may still be up for the lizard :3 Same with the Deepsea Divers. I noticed atm it's only getting about $20 but I have seen it net $50 loose with box. The others usually fetch an average of between $4-$10 :D Some folks usually lump the more common pets together in a lot and end up getting a few dollars more than they would after fees if they sold separately, but I think you could probably go either way if you wanted to see how they go :3

It's pretty awesome you have the full Sea World set too! I've been wanting to find the version of the playset that comes with the little otter (if it was bought as a complete playset in a big box it came with an otter as an exclusive pet :D). Unfortunately the otter version is so hard to come by ;; I missed out on one MIB years ago for $30 and I've regretted not taking up the offer ever since. I do have shamu family/baby shamu though that I got from a friend and they're so adorkable XD

Items: $14.50
Shipping + fees: $8.18
Total: $22.68

If that's okay with you, please send payment to nelsonn AT alumni.upenn.edu and include what you bought in the memo. If shipping ends up being less than that, I'll refund you the difference. I didn't want to accidentally undercharge on shipping since Australia's rates jump so much with every ounce.

And thank you for the pricing advice!

Sounds great! :D Ty so much ^-^ I will send it over for you soon :D

No problem at all! This is all making me really badly want to either crack out my collection (storage for lack of space ;-; *HEARTBREAK*) or start moving again towards finishing it sometime soon :D
