Today I discovered why Photoshop was not picking up the pen pressure from my Intuos tablet. Apparently the 64 bit version of CS4 has a glitch where pen pressure doesn't work. Before this, I always assumed I had the pen pressure settings wrong, despite checking and double-checking guides on how to do it. I opened the 32 bit version today and, guess what, the pen pressure worked.
In short: I am an idiot.
No, really, why did it take me three years to figure this out? Somewhere in the world, an Adobe employee is laughing at me.
On the bright side, now that pen pressure is working, using Photoshop for digital art no longer makes me want to flip tables.
I'm going to finish that 30 day Pokemon meme while I'm here.
Day 24 - A Pokemon whose appearance makes you laugh.
It is a nose. With little rock feet.
Day 25 - Your favorite Pokemon rival.
"This is my grandson. What was his name again?"
Fun fact #1: I named him after the neighborhood bully on my original Blue play-through. The bully's name was Katie, so I named him K.T. (He's a boy, after all. I can't just give him a girl's name. My 10-year-old self was amazed by this "clever" solution.) Believe it or not, being able to defeat the bully's avatar in-game helped me come to terms with my situation in real life.
Fun fact #2: When I was a kid I used to pair my Pokemon trainer OC with Blue/Gary. And by "kid" I mean "from the time I was 12 years old until about three years ago". I forced myself to stop when I realized that not only did no one care about my OC/canon ships, but a lot of people were extremely annoyed by them. Please forgive me for my sins, internet. Now I ship him with Janine.
Day 26 - Your favorite Pokemon trainer.
Since I've already answered Blue/Gary (I know they're not the exact same person, but close enough), I'll pick N.
His inclusion in the games made me look forward to the rival battles, for once. Also, I find his character fascinating.
Day 27 - Your least favorite Pokemon trainer.
I would say Max, but I don't think he counts as a trainer. You know who else annoys me? Wally.
Also known as "that sick kid who made you catch a Ralts for him and then stalked you for the rest of the game."
I do not care if you are sick, Wally. If you want to be a Pokemon trainer, catch your own Pokemon!
By the way, was it ever stated/implied what kind of illness he had? I'm assuming it wasn't anything fatal since he's still following you at the end of the game. I've always assumed he had a bad case of asthma or something...
Day 28 - A Pokemon that you used to hate but now love.
Believe it or not: Bulbasaur. And Kyogre.
I started to like them after using them on my games (and after realizing that Kyogre is an orca).
Day 29 - A Pokemon that you would never use.
It's supposed to be a hyena but it looks and acts like a dog. Hyena =/= dog. I don't know why this bothers me so much.

Probably water. There are so many awesome water Pokemon.
