I lost 15 pounds when I was in my first trimester, and I didn't get back up to my pre-pregnancy weight until I was 6 months along! It's extremely common to lose weight, so try not to worry about it. As long as you are keeping your prenatal vitamins down, you don't need to worry about the baby- He or she will be fine!

The only thing that helped me was eating saltine crackers before I got out of bed. I kept a package on my night stand and would nibble on a couple just to get something in my stomach. Once I got something in my stomach I was less likely to throw up later, because the crackers absorb the stomach acid, which lessens nausea. And I seriously couldn't eat like any meat or fatty foods because of how sick I felt. I ate peanut butter on saltine crackers for lunch at work for a long time.

Family history doesn't necessarily dictate the severity or length of morning sickness, just whether or not you'll have it. Just because your mom was sick for 6 months (or however long) doesn't mean you will be! Every pregnancy is different.

Did you see my reply to your previous post?
