it's one of those days that my head is at it's scatterbrain best. i usually can't think of anything to blog about but there's still something that i want to frikkin scream about. GAH~!
oh well. first. i know that i've already UNDERSCORED the fact that COSPLAY=SERIOUS BUSINESS. why? first, there are hundreds, and thousands of people who fanboys/fangirls over these characters. i myself feel disgusted whenever i see my fave character being cosplayed poorly. but i think the proper attitude towards this is just to properly criticize and move on. second, cosplay is all about accuracy of costume, character portrayal and photograpy. no, shooping plays a very minor, if not insignificant part in cosplay. though we try our best to provide all, sometimes, it's just not possible to present all three for a shoot/con. as i said accuracy plays a very large part of cosplay. so if you're not prepared, better just drop it rather than going for a shoot while unprepared. cons are different. we usually cosplay on conventions because a) we're going for a group sketch. b) just for the LULZ of it. and because preparing yourself for a con is harder due to transport reasons and time constraints, some inaccuracies can be forgiven. BUT THIS IS NOT A REASON FOR BAD COSPLAY. BEING A NEWBIE ISN'T A REASON EITHER. friends, IT'S ALL ABOUT GIVING IT ALL OF YOUR BEST EFFORT TO BRING QUALITY COSPLAY. and darlings, COSPLAY CRITIQUE IS HARSH. IT'S ALWAYS BEEN LIKE THAT. whether the criticism is directed at you specifically, or your cosplay in general, take it like a MAN. apparently, BALLS are required for cosplay. if you are a sorry wuss... just stay sorry and cry inside your bedrooms, not joking. just take all that time improving your cosplay rather than creating anon accounts and spewing shit over someone who criticizes your cosplay. yeah, go be upset but don't flame. and if it seems that the critic started flaming, just state your point and drop the subject gracefully.
and as for the subject of playing nice... COSFAGS AND COSPLAY ELITIST DIVAS come into mind. every cosplayer has one of them, in the dark crevices of their minds... always feeling better than the rest. but i think if this is trimmed to a healthy size, it should just shrink into healthy cosplay pride. but some cosplayers in the bottom realms of the internet (AKA 4chan and some other cosplay-oriented websites/forums) live with a disease with this UBER EGO TUMOR. vendetta is the fruit of their jealousy, and 4chan is their weapon. i don't really get why cosplay became this beauty pageant for these people. always breathing out bad cosplay pics of everyone else and most likely, their favorite victim. who started it anyway? ahaha. i don't know what else to say about this matter as its gone OVERBOARD AND BLOWN OUT OF PROPORTION... LIKE, AS RYOHEI SASAGAWA WOULD SAY... TO THE EXTREME~! i don't really believe in using the power of anon, as it is just cowardly and overrated. but, if ANYBODY HAS ANYTHING AGAINST MY COSPLAY AND MYSELF IN PARTICULAR, LET ME KNOW WHO YOU ARE AND TELL IT STRAIGHT TO MY FACE. or else, i treat you as a non-existent being. SRSLY. i only deal with real people, not with fake usernames, sorry. ^__^
anyway, i've been trying to let that out of my mind. but since a surge of activities have been sucking out the creative juices out of me, i really couldn't nail my words down nicely. hopefully i did a good job this time. and what's most important... is that everyone gives my words a good "thinking through" (LOL is there such a thing?).
