Am currently pretty much enjoying myself reading one of Abe Miyuki Sensei's brilliant work -
Komatta Toki ni wa Hoshi ni Kike!
MY PERSONAL THOUGHTS ON THIS MANGA:
Found this manga to be very engaging. Love how the characters grows and interacts. Adore the dynamics between the two main leads, Fujishima Takara and Hosaka Kiyomine. The rest of the supporting characters are quite interesting and well developed too. And what's unique is that, although this is a shounen ai manga, there are also quite a number of female characters that brought much spice into the storyline itself. I can see that Abe Miyuki Sensei does adore her female characters as well and enjoys drawing em all the same.
Personally I only find this one flaw in this manga itself. That is, the fact that it's rather difficult to tell a couple of the characters apart. They seems to look much the same. So I would have to relay pretty much on the conversation flow and direction to get a hint of who that particular character is :P Hehe
I can't help it but to wonder if Sensei purposely depict Hosaka Kiyomine as a character with mild autism? Cos from the story he seems to displayed quite a number of the traits an autism person might have which makes him unpopular with the rest of the world and hard to get along with? Would love to know what others might think about this though :)
Another thing which I find refreshing is that the main uke lead, Fujishima Takara although petite and innocent in looks but possess quite a strong willed characteristic. Not really a damsel in distress type - I like that very much! His denseness is very entertaining to read too. Ahahahahaha kawaiii ne. Such a pure pure soul in such a lovely frame.
