Hello, Mystery Author
This is my first time doing any sort of fic exchange, and I'm looking forward to reading your story of one of my prompts (and I'm curious which you'll choose & why!), so I'm taking the posted advice, and telling you something about myself. I'm also Kyndsie on deviantart.com and on fanfiction.net, so feel free to see what I've posted there.
I'm a recent addition to the Labyrinth fandom; I haven't spent the last decades dreaming & drooling over the Goblin King. However, I do dream and drool over him now.
I like my Jareth strong and confident, arrogant and annoying, and only sometimes the gentleman. He isn't a tame, by the book sort of guy to follow the rules of etiquette, unless it's part of a larger plot. He's a strategist, a plotter, a trickster, and a MAGICAL being. On that front, I don't have any strong convictions about what sort of magical being he is as long as the author of whatever fic is consistent about his abilities.
Sarah needs to remember the lessons that she learned from the Labyrinth (i.e. not whining, being aware that words & decisions matter), to be strong and confident, but also not omniscient... so she doesn't usually understand at first that since Jareth isn't human, his perceptions, expectations, etc, aren't going to be what she expects. I enjoy seeing confusion as a result of this; I also enjoy it when she realizes this, and decides that she needs him to understand HER needs & expectations as regards behavior regardless of his Other customs.
I am a J/S shipper, but I'm okay with unhappy endings as long as the make sense in context of the story. I like fluff as long as there's humor. Please no adult-type touching beyond some above the shoulder kissing (or kisses on the hand).
I like banter and word play especially when it shows that Sarah is or will be a match for Jareth.
Other characters are fine, but they're supporting characters in my mind.
Fanfic authors that I like: Cyprith, KnifeEdge, Pika-la-Cynique, Subtilior, and so many others. (just check out my favorites list on fanfiction)
Regardless of the genre and prompt you choose, please tell YOUR story, instead of whatever story you may think that I'd want to write.
