This is procrastination from doing schoolwork. Seems like that's the only time updating my journal feels like a good idea. >.<
Anyway, school has started, track has started, the photography has gotten minimally better, and home life continues as it always does.
School is fine (except for the procrastination part). I like my courses this year, and Peet's has been wonderful about scheduling me around my school and track schedule, so I'm actually getting hours, and I'm making rent without a problem. How's that for a concept? :)
Track is going really well so far. I'm glad I stayed in good shape over the summer, because although the workouts are hard, I'm not dying, and for the first time ever, I'm keeping up with the sprinters like I should. Also did some lift testing, and I'm still at the max I ended at last year, which puts me away ahead of this time last year. The knee continues to be a pain (literally), but hopefully we're going to do something about that soon, so I can really go all out on my running.
Photography continues to have it's ups and downs, and I think it's because I'm bored of the things I had to take pictures of. I don't have very many people willing to model for me, and the scenery is not really exciting around here. >_O Oh well, I'm sure I'll get more creative eventually...right?
Homelife is okay. David's asleep...he caught the flu and stayed home from work today. I fear I may be next. My house is filthy, and my wardrobe decidedly sucks, which makes me a little depressed. I've spent most of the morning getting the house picked up, so I'm feeling better about that, but I'm still waiting on my scholarship check so I can go clothes shopping. I know that probably sounds vain, but my wardrobe it's looking tattered. Most (possibly all) of my skirts are torn or stained, many of my tops are ill-fitted because my arms have gotten bigger and the sleeves are now too tight, and the soles are starting to come out of my shoes. I keep seeing really cute clothes are kinda my style, but for the moment, I don't have the money to spare to go shopping for clothes. Groceries are more important.
I hope I can get a sewing machine in the near future, I think it would help a lot with the clothing situation...then I'd have clothes I like and that fit properly.
Okay, that's all.
