Foxtel

I Made this post in the Aussie tech head forum after saying

I regard to Fotxel and Foxtel HD

This is the perfect time to release the "only pay for what you are after"plans..

but they won't do that, because they are greedy.

Better watch out Foxtel, when Apple TV's movie and show rentals come to OZ no one will want foxtell.

thought i'd put it here as well so google can index it, and maybe foxtel will find it.

Others couldn't see this happening so i replyed with

Totally.

When i first signed up for Foxtel, Tech TV was on the list, After 3 months of stuffing arount, the box was installed only to find TechTV replaced with CI. And Tech TV was my main reason for getting it.

Discovery Science was once great, but now crap
Invader Zim was on Cartoon network, but there is nothing for me their now.

Call for Help and AOTS where on the How To Channel, now there is no Call for Help and AOTS is on fuelTV, but i get all the AOTS podcasts so i don't need the show.

The only thing keeping me there is SCI-FI and Adult swim, But it would be cheeper to just by the DVD's, Foxtel is becomeing less relevent for me every day, as i spend most of my time consuming free online content.

I currently pay $70 for internet and $110 for foxtel.

If i could cancel the foxtel and only d-load the content i wan't off the net, i could spend $120 on an internet connection (and that a lot of net)and $60 of content and not be out of pocket 1cent more than now, and not get bundeled crap that i never whatch. ( I could do this right now by obtaining things through nefarious means, but i don't)

So my point is, i can't be the only one that thinks this way, and if Foxtel doesn't step off their High Horse and doesn't change there model, they may just get bucked off.

Apple haven't released movies or shows in this country yet and I do understand that Apple are going to have to step it up if they are going deliver video to a global market.

P.S.I can't wait to watch me shows on my iPhone on the way to work. You can't do that with Foxtel, unless you use this method
