Christmas is almost here; I can't wait! I mentioned before how x-mas is just a very special time of the year for me of which I have many fond memories of. Eggnog, getting presents, giving presents, some applesauce cake here and there, and spending time with all my friends... it's all so wonderful.

The other day Jenna called me up and asked me to accompany her to the mall since she was going to finish up her x-mas shopping. It was a lot of fun, of course. We took note of all the interesting and unexpected things that we saw that day; from an owl, to road rage, to bumping into Jenna's sister. I saw a domo-kun calander which I was tempted to buy for Lindsey, but she usually ends up with someone buying her a Hello Kitty calender each year, so I held off. Jenna and I went to the book store and they had two fantastic issues of Kung Fu Magazine, and so I had to buy them. One issue outlines the (I believe) Xingyi iron chopsticks form (which I am dying to learn, because I love all the odd weapons like the fan, parasol, chopsticks, and most recently, the rope-dart) and then another talks about Brazilian jiu-jitsu versus Chinese shuai jiao (a type of wrestling). Jenna and I were actually out for 5 hours; it was crazy.

On Monday I saw Lindsey for a little bit. We got together to celebrate her ending this semester, and so we went to Fridays instead of our usual dining at Non-Solo Pasta (and unfortunately, Fu Wah Inn - the best Chinese food I've ever had (and I've been to the top rated places in NYC and Philly) - closed down). After eating, Lindsey and I went back to her place for a while and then at around 8:30 I left so I could go see Jenna. Jenna and I were planning to watch I Love New York together :D. Jenna and I watched our show, talked a lot, and got excited about the apparent coming of Rock of Love 2. I left for home shortly after our show was over.

Lately I've just been playing Star Ocean: The Second Story on a PSX emulator on my computer. I'm just about done it; I'll probably beat it tomorrow. Once I am completely done the game, I think I will probably play Valkyrie Profile next. I've found that when I near the completion of most RPG's, I get really bored and don't feel like playing it. I think part of it is because I don't want the game to end and playing it near the end only brings me closer to beating it. The second reason, I think, is because near the end of most games, there's less story and just lots of beating up bad guys... there's no longer that hook there where you wonder what will happen next because you can already pretty much figure it out.

I've been downloading and watching more anime of course as well. There have been a few series that I downloaded previously that weren't in .avi format, which means I can't convert them to burn to a DVD, blarg. I managed to find .avi versions of them, thankfully, and have been burning some to disk and others I am preparing to burn later. One that I want to watch with Jenna and Luna is Nagasarete Airantou, which is a nice ecchi-comedy, and then there's another I am curious about called Mamotte Shugogetten, which sounds a lot like Oh! My Goddess!, which Jenna and I are a big fan of.
