+1 to AC, +2 to Charisma
I am in a good mood tonight, even though I really have reasons not to be.... All today, and some of yesterday I've been thinking about - finally - doing a live action manga in a similar fashion to that of Genki Geek's Fine Arts Fantasy (1, 2)(although they are able to do their mangas much simpler than I would. I always have to complicate things :P). Wow, checking for those URLs to the mangas just showed me that Genki Geeks deleted their journal.. I'm..... devastated! Ooookay, moving on... yeah, I'd love to really do this come spring... Of course I'm going to force my posse of Rafael, Adriana, Dan, Sean, and Luna to join me in this endeavor (yeah, btw, guys.... :P). I wish Bunny was closer so she could join in on the fun too. She's the cosplay queen, so she'd be a fantastic edition :D. Now all this of course has made me think about typical female armour. The title of this post is a tribute to the webcomic Chainmail Bikini where this female wears a chainmail bikini and she says "+1 to AC, +2 to Charisma". Maybe yo u gotta be a D&D geek to find it funny? Either way, I'd like to inject some of this type of humour into my manga. Don't worry Rafael, you get to have fun too; you're gonna be the rowdy guy with a really big gun ;).
I'll probably work with Dan on drawing up a story board to follow. In the mean-time however, I've actually been thinking about game making. All this came about because I started to learn C++ (common programing language) and I was thinking about helping with some open-source games (games that have the source code open to the public. It's like a collective creative effort. This is why Linux blows Windoze out of the water: it's open source) and maybe make one of my own that never gets anywhere :P. Then last night I decided to look at RPG Maker and see how it was (last I remember hearing about it was on the PS2 years ago). To my surprise, there's a nice one available for free on the PC and there's a better one that will be released in probably 6 months. I'd like to tinker with it. Ultimately, my dream among dreams (which will probably never happen :P) is to make a complete remake of my all time favorite game Wizardry VII: Crusaders of the Dark Savant (<333333333333333) (srsly, I've been playing it for 15 years.. A good game will have 40 hours of time to put in. A great game - today - will have between 70 and 80. Wizardry can easily take a year to beat).
It's kinda silly that what originally got me in a good mood was that I sat down and filled out the SASE to send to some company that's giving away free Ubuntu Stickers. It's funny how something so small can make me so happy :P. Ok, that and I look forward to christmas... but I always look forward to christmas.
UGH. my hands are shit today. Dunno why they hurt so much. Looks like I'm wasting my life away on anime today!
