Today I got to spend some time with Jenna, which was fantastic. Jenna IMed me close to 12pm and told me she wanted to get out of the house; I was working on my project at the time, but I knew that things were settling well at home so I agreed to hang out with her for a bit. I came by and then off we went. First we went to this uh... place... that has stuff to do with Auto tags and similar things. After that we went to the mall so Jenna could go shopping. Jenna has lost a lot of weight recently and she looks fantastic, I think. Due to this, we spent a good deal of time looking at clothes; I'm used to this after spending 10 years with the girl. We went to Forever 21 since Jenna had a gift card and she bought a few articles of clothing; I hope she likes them, she never tried them on really. I guess it's a girl thing? Jenna said she wanted something to remind her of Japan, "like Hello Kitty or something", so we went to Hot Topic. They had this really nice corset for sale, but it was out of Jenna's limited price range (going to Japan sucked out all her money!). Of course, I tried coarsing Jenna into buying this one really hot skirt that was on clearance but unfortunately they were all really small or really big. Drat.
Jenna and I talked some about NYC as well. Jenna says she may end up going to NYU for law; it'd be fantastic if her and I could get a place together, but I dunno what she would think of that and I think that she's looking to move up there much sooner than me. With or without Jenna as a roomate, I'd be thrilled if she ends up moving to NYC as well. I think it'd be good for both of us; we can keep eachother out of trouble (and hopefully out of bad relationships too). Eventually we started to make our way out of the mall, and while we were going down the escelator, I noticed Keith. I tried yelling for him, but he was too busy talking on the phone. So, I did what any kung fu ninja boy would do: I snuck up on him and put my two fingers by his ribs to resemble a weapon and put my forearm by his throat. Keith of course reacted how any martial artist would, but I knew that he would so I didn't get hurt. Me, Jenna, and Keith all talked for a while and then we left the mall and Jenna dropped me off so I could go home and work on the rest of my project. It was wonderful getting to spend time with her. Like Lindsey and Kat (and Grey!), I simply can never get enough time with Jenna; it's always too little even if it's 40 hours!
Yesterday I had my second acupuncture appointment. I really like my acupuncturist; just something about her really draws me in I suppose. I think I'm just not used to a Chinese person with a Hong Kong accent... hmm.... The pain in my wrists and hands has gone away, and so we then went on to big problem #2: the trigger point (read: knot/ischemia) in my right gluteus maximus (butt) that has been around for probably 2 months and makes it uncomfortable for me to sit down. I was expecting for her to do Tui Na directly to my glutes, quadratus lumborum (lower back muscle), and maybe even the psoas (very close to the inner thigh), but nope! She performed osteopathy on my lower back to fix my spine which was apparently out of alignment. I would bend down to touch the floor and at first there was a lot of resistance. I would get back up and she would adjust and massage my lower back and I would do it again and magically there was less resistance. We did it one more time, and that time it was very easy. Then I layed down and she stuck the needles in my leg, ankle, arm, and hand. This time I could feel it a little more than the last time and one actually hurt... I think it has to do with the fact that that muscle was very very tense and still repairing itself. I'll have to ask her Monday.
I rested for 20 minutes and then she took the needles out. She said that my pulses are stronger (A chinese doctor will feel 6 different pulses on your wrists because it is linked to the organs. A weak liver pulse means weak liver Qi which can mean hair loss amongst other things), and my tongue looked better too (Chinese doctors also look at signs on the tongue. This is their own version of an x-ray since the tongue is the only inside organ you can see). My glute does feel better, but it's not 100% yet. However, it is much more comfortable to sit down now! I'm going back monday and we're gonna probably work more on this problem and then progress on to other problems.
Tomorrow I'm supposed to hang out with Jenna again (!!!!!) and we're gonna go swimming at her mom's place. Today I've spent time working on my project on and off, and well as playing Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. I suppose that's all for now!
