I need a weekend to recover from my weekend
I'm feeling pretty accomplished with the work I did on the yard this weekend.
Planted a ton of stuff in the backyard:
2 azelia bushes
1 more lillac bush
2 hostas
2 asiatic lillies
4 pots of irises (they were already blooming)
1 flowering bush (can't remember the name, but it has pretty flowers)
35 Anemonies (bulbs)
3 dozen (or more) petunias in two locations
I also
Moved approx. 1/2 ton of flagstone (ok, it was about 1/4 ton moved twice)
Planted 3 hanging baskets with petunias and other flowers
Planted 5 containers with miscellaneous flowers for the front porch
Planted 1 begonia in a container for the patio
Planted a 'Rose of Sharon' hibiscus in a container for the patio
This takes care of about half of the border areas I need to fill. I also need to mulch around the new plants to prevent weeds, and figure out what to do with the remainder of the bare areas of the back yard.
