Bonus amount information is being distributed today. Yah, we had layoffs two days ago, and now they're giving us bonuses? Doesn't make too much sense, but hey, I'll take the extra money.
I also found out that I'm getting a merit increase, and an actual title change. I've been a 'System SW Support Engineer' (read software developer) for several years, even though I'm really an Analyst. So now my title reflects what I actually do. Thats good, because my manager told me they coulddn't promote me as a developer, since I didn't have the skills for it. But I've been working as an analyst for quite some time, and I do have the skills to be promoted here if I continue to get 'outstaning' job performace ratings.
Well, better get back to earning that promotion I want to get.
