It seems like all I do these god damn days is wake up and work and go to sleep.
I am soooooo sick of having to stay late because people wait until it's convenient for THEM to bring in their poor sick animals. They've been sick all week, but they bring them in on the weekend.
It's hell for the animals because they are all that much sicker, and a million times harder on us. What could have been fixed with some medicine and SQ fluids, ends up with a a gazillion tests, catheter, and hospitalization. Why would anyone want to do that to their pet???
Or they bring them in last minute when they get home from work. All day the animal has been sick. All day we could have been working on their pet when our minds are there...not when we are closing and all we can think about is how fast to get things done so we can actually feed our screaming stomachs and sleep and be o.k. for the next day.
We are not magical elves that take their pet in back, wave a wand and make him/her better, we are only human. I think people forget that.
