There is no insurmountable solitude. All paths lead to the same goal: to convey to others what we are. And we must pass through solitude and difficulty, isolation and silence, in order to reach forth to the enchanted place where we can dance our clumsy dance and sing our sorrowful song - but in this dance or in this song there are fulfilled the most ancient rites of our conscience in the awareness of being human and of believing in a common destiny.

oooohhh... to believe in a common destiny.... Kirsty Cameron at 11:02am October 2
Well, what we know is that we were born, we exist, and apparently, we're all gonna die...We know that we don't know...We know that we have disparate goals...The human condition; one world struggling...If we only ever thought about THAT, I think that our 'collective' sense of compassion would increase... yes... he's right... we feel our common destiny when we feel our common sorrow... that well of sorrow... Kirsty Cameron at 11:27am October 2
Yes, we are united in this well, this struggle to make contact with something or someone outside of ourselves...To reach out and touch, to be touched...The sadness that exists inside of, or beside the great silence within us is what brings us together, for sure...The awesome sorrow...That we are all reaching (out from the sorrow) is what we share as destiny...He is right. Pablo Neruda is right. He has reached us with his words and so, we love him...He has touched us. We love him because he has articulated something that makes us feel less alone, and possibly more loveable and loving...This recognition of truth makes us want to give something back, to reach out ourselves. Poetry humanizes us. Jude Proctor at 11:32am October 2
In you I waver, fall
and rise up burning.
You among all beings
have the right
to see me weak.
PN... love you... Kirsty Cameron at 11:37am October 2
Oh all things. Wow. Silence...I love you too. So much. Thanks for this... Jude Proctor at 11:49am October 2
well... you are... Beautiful. Nadine Erickson at 12:11pm October 2
but why cannot we all just be unified in moments of light and happiness? why does it have to be sorrow and darkness that unites? why can't we recognize the darkness as the force that propels us to be in the light? (for we are all light beings not dark beings...) The darkness is a similar, but lonely experience...and it is the dance towards light that unites...

hey, nadine... yeah... I think it's at the high end and the low end that I feel that sense of brotherhood and connection... the rest of the time I think most people are jerks... (laughing)... and it gets a little lonely... Kirsty Cameron at 6:16pm October 2
