So, Hi, how ya been? Me? Pretty good, thanks for asking. Just realized I have not posted on here in 2 months. Woops?
What have I been so busy with? Well, glad you asked - Highland Games! I competed in seven Games this season and enjoyed each one. Of the 9 traditional events (stone, open stone, light weight for distance, heavy weight for distance, light hammer, heavy hammer, caber, sheaf and weight over bar) I managed to make personal bests in 8 of them. Seems all practice and gym time paid off. The boys over in Keller have been a real help in getting me up to par. In turn I give them baked goods, seems to work out to an even trade that sends us all to the gym more often.
In addition to the pay off in numbers it has made me a generally happier human to have goals and a set method to achieve them. Practice does make perfect and I am simple enough creature that routines and set regimens make me happy. Strange as it is, this is a revitalized passion for me. I spend a great deal of time working on how to improve. When it is something completely within my control, no one to blame but me if I don't.
Work is work shaped. I am looking for something new.
Weight loss is totally stalled out, and that sucks a lot, but again no one but me to blame. Baby steps and starting over again. Blah blah.
Love my gym. Glad a few folks are coming back to working out. Wish everyone would.
Yep, that's pretty much it.
