The Exorcist relived!
So, this week is looking like it will be about the same as last! Gaaaa....
We had a woman disassociating tonight, and ended up having to put her in 4 points. I think all together we gave her 4 injections. She was totally acting as though she was possessed. It reminded me of the Exorcist without the head spin and the split pea soup (Thank Goodness!). I have never seen anything like it. We got her out of the restraints fairly quickly, though. I think in all she was only in them for 2 hours. However, she was still quite "out of it" when I left.
We still have quite a few hyper-sexual men on the unit, including the old man that yelled at me on Friday. He got put on a 90day hold today, so he should be going to Western tomorrow if they have a bed for him. (I hope they do!) I think that another guy that we have that has been totally inappropriate with all the women including myself should be leaving tomorrow. It will be nice to be able to walk the unit without the comments and innuendos that I have been hearing for the past 2 weeks.
Luckily, however, this week I only work 3 days. I am going to see Rod Stewart on Wed, and this is my week to have Friday off! Woohoo!
I am going in for an hour on Wed afternoon to take an EKG class. After I get certified at this class I will then be the one that trains all of the night staff on the use of the EKG machine. Not a difficult thing to do, but kind of nice that they asked me to do it.
