UNC Botanical Gardens
Since I'm spending the weekend in Charlotte I decided to do a little sightseeing. So - I got some brochures from Charlotte Chamber and found that the orchids were in bloom and on display at the UNC greenhouse. It's only about 15 minutes away, so I headed up. It was SO beautiful. And the air was thick with fragrance. The orchid in the picture was especially fragrant.
Tonight I'm catching up with a co-worker and we're going to check out a wine bar about 4 blocks up the street. It looks nice and should be a good place to get to know each other a bit. She just moved here from CT and hasn't gone out much, so I'm dragging her with me to see the town. :)
