Ok people. I have a question. I hope some of you have an answer. In English a lot of Jews write G_d to respect God. How do they (y'all) say it out loud? Can you say the vowel in prayer even? I've found yiddish and hebrew words that mean literally "the name" in my poems would I use that in speach? Many of the characters of my poem cycle are Jewish and I want to be as authentic and respectful as possible. Of course at least one of them is a Jewish Lesbian in a concentration camp--so perhaps not everyone would necessarily say that it was respectful. But it's realistic... I think. So can y'all help?
