Looking forward to a new year in this wonderful, complex and troubled world.
Every morning the women in India get up early to create mandalas at the doorstep of their homes. They use crushed rice flour dyed in brilliant colors. Every day, these women create a beautiful piece of art to invite the gods to come and see their homes to bless them.
I woke up early one morning and looked out my third story window. The street was lined with brilliant renderings, glowing in the early morning light; each on unique and reflecting the heart of the woman who drew it.
