Today was great!
I got my sister to a play she was watching on time, and then, after calling my mom, I decided to explore Eugene. I started by going out Lawrence until it stopped. Then I was in the gravel parking lot past first street, behind Skinner's Butte Park. For some reason I was expecting to get shot, because I had never been in that neighborhood before, and I'd heard it was sketchy. So even though it was 80 outside and 12:30, I had my windows rolled up.
Frankly, we live in a sprawling metropolis that is full of ghettos and expressways. If I hadn't been so sunbaked today, I would have liked to map out the city as I saw it, stopping occassionally to draw. Then again, if I hadn't been so sunbaked I wouldn't have gone driving around purposelessly anyway.
Some Thelonius Monk just finished importing, and I'll get the rest of the library cd's on my computer in a sec.
