wintry watery frozen stuff everywhere..
didn't make it to work today, but spent about 40 miles and a couple of hours trying.
I won a contest last night then I miss work today - ?!? - and found out on a conference call that my boss might be on her way to check my work today so I warned her while I was doing 20 while still sliding in places not to come anywhere near me - and saw a Land Rover pulled over while I was sending her the message. my first inkling of coming activities was when I backed out of my driveway and slid around the first turn in the road.. and by the time I got to the highway overpass and saw a line of 8 semis in a row stopped on the side of the road, police cars holding cars back in 2 lanes, the entire road system dead still in all lanes, and seen 3 wrecks, I had decided it was not a really great idea to be out today - but I still tried to get one of my stores done in an opposite direction before I gave it up. my boss called later and told me she gave it up in Columbus, when she was already having trouble and started remembering the hills and mountains around here. so I told her a good hotel to stay in there. she told me I convinced her to stop with my message of sliding backwards down a railroad bump.. lol.
