today it occurred to me that singapore's town planners have done an awesome job. waste disposal, transportation, high-rise buildings.. all these infrastructure wasn't built in a day. yet we have it.. & it's so beautiful, in a different way. wow.
did you know that the first flying cars are slated for sale as soon as 2010? yeah but they hardly are the fly-on-demand kind that we see in futuristic or sci-fi shows.. they're more like, fly from airport runways yet can hit the road kind of vehicles. although, there are the VTOL (vertical take-off & landing) types that look like an UFO.. but they seem kind of unfeasible for widespread use, hm.
also, there is Project Natal by Microsoft.. which allows for controller-free gaming. xbox360 has gone some way with wireless controls but they're developing technology such that your body is the control.. by your hand movements & voice commands. so imagine yourself in an FPS running ard & shoot your enemies. virtual reality might not be that far away afterall.
i've never been able to forget the miss.. sometimes when i'm stoning; it just all comes back to me.. the run, the ball, the open goal.. & the subsquent shot into the defender on the line. oh, my my my.
