The landlord-lady who I'd been strongly encouraged to talk with came by Nate's earlier, asking if I---"your friend"---was there. I headed down, and she showed me the apartment that's directly under his, the 550 one, remarking that the girl who was in line for it couldn't decide whether she wanted it... Given that the apartments were to be rented as quickly as possible, and since the landlord-lady remembered me and knew that I was looking for one by June 1st, she came to me.
It's good sized, it's less than several of the other ones we were looking at, AND it's in a place with awesome neighbors. I say score. :)
