Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year? Sherlock? In that, I loved the show (except ep 2) and the characters but I don't want to read fic about them.

Yes yes yes! I just don't get why! :( I was so enthusiastic about it at first, and there sure are a lot of talented writers writing for it, and I have really tried- I'm sort of addicted to podfics (am commuting for 4 h each day after all...) and there are a lot of (awesome) podficcers that record for that fandom- but it's just not working.

The strange thing is that I have dabbled in Sherlock Holmes fandom in the past, the original stories, and there I can easily ship it. My brain make no sense.

Your biggest fan anticipations for the New Year? MAGIC REVEAL BY S4 FINALE. PLEEEEEASE?

GOD, IF THIS DOESNT HAPPEN... This may my biggest anticipation for the New Year period...

Good Omens is awesome and that fandom is awesome! If you, like me, feel like going on a fic-reading binge after finishing the book, this list is pretty great :) RECS: Crowley/Aziraphale [Good Omens]

Hope you get well soon! <3

I don't get it either, we just must be odd little duckies! I want to believe it's because Sherlock is such a complex character and I don't want fluffy love fics to taint my image of him, but it's probably a more shallow reason, like, I don't want to bone Cumberbatch or Freeman. Pfft.

This may my biggest anticipation for the New Year period...

HA, yeah, I think I'd have to agree. I mean, unlike a lot of people, I've always been okay with waiting for the reveal, it's a simple family show and the premise has always been ~keep the magic secret~ and that's fine. But I feel they'd be losing out on some prime tv by not having an AT LEAST few-episodes-long story arc revolving around the reveal and the aftermath and seeing as how they've always said they wanted five seasons, s4 finale is the perfect time for a cliffhanger reveal and half s5 aftermath, before the final half of s5 is devoted to everything else they need to tie up - Arthur's kingship, A/G mariage, Merlin becoming Arthur's advisor, etc. I HOPE THIS IS BASICALLY THEIR THINKING TOO.

Thank you so much for that link, I will definitely check things out!
