(no subject)
this weekend was swell. lots of cleaning, watched the halftime show of the football game and left, shindig at my house for my good friends/bandmates 10 year anniversary, band practice satuday morning, trip to auburn for the show started at 5. so... the show had it's ups and downs but end the end it was amazing. i love my band.
here is the story. i took it from an IM i wrote earlier because i didn't want to type it again:
well, we got to the house, set up and played for about 30-40 people... no real reactions from them and we didn't play to well, i think we were too nervous because it was the first show since feb. so yeah... we didn't play well, my guitar strap broke, and we didn't get into it at all. later on the second band played, ofmeansandends, they are hardcore and since this was a college party in alabama with very few scene kids and lots of frat boys, nobody liked them other than the few kids the brought. they were making fun of the band and the band made fun of them. so after they finished the guys that were putting on the party asked us to play again and bribed us with $80!!!! woot. we played, we rocked out so hard, and everyone loved us. it was great. they also collected 30 bucks in tips from all the drunk college kids! ha.
