Twelve Things About Kyle Walker
1. When he was 15, he told his mom that he thought he was gay, thinking she would be okay with it as she had always said that she would love him no matter what. He wasn't expecting to be told that if he was sure, then he either needed to go to some fucked up rehabilitation center or leave. He chose to leave.
2. After leaving his house, he didn't really know where to go. He stayed at a couple of friends' houses for a couple nights here and there, then met Jesse, who was 19, hot, and willing to put him up for a little bit of sex. He told Jesse he was 17 and that was that.
3. Jesse found out the truth three days after his 16th birthday, the day Kyle had told Jesse he was turning 18. Kyle had known that what they had wasn't love, but he wasn't expecting to be kicked out on his ass when Jesse freaked out.
4. During the time he was with Jesse, he got his GED. It took a little forgery and a few lies, as they wanted releases from his school since he wasn't 16, and he knew he couldn't ask his mom to sign it. It's the one thing he's proud of that he's done since he left his mom's place.
5. Kyle has been in the hospital several times, mostly for defending the younger kids around him. He hates to see bullying and it shows on his record... Thankfully, a lot of his record is now sealed, as all of it happened before he turned 18.
6. He will never, ever admit it, but he knows most, if not all, of the words to the late 90s boy band songs. His mom was a fan and would play them constantly when he was growing up. His favorite memory of his mom (he only has a few now) is when he was about seven or eight and singing along with the Backstreet Boys in the car.
7. He was thirteen when he started questioning whether he was gay or straight. All of his friends were talking about girls and he just didn't see the appeal. He was fourteen and it was at one of those stupid teenage parties playing one of those stupid teenage games (spin-the-bottle) that he realized that he would rather kiss the quarterback then the head cheerleader.
8. Kyle's tired of always being in trouble and would like to straighten out his life. He just doesn't see how to get our of the mess that his life is.
9. One thing that Kyle never did was try drugs. It was offered and he was tempted, but he knew that if he started then he would never come back from it. Alcohol, yes. Sex, yes. Drugs, never.
10. His favorite color is purple, which really, in his mind, should have been a clue earlier that he was gay. The purple crayon as a child was always the one that he wanted, his bed set was purple as soon as he was allowed to choose his own, and he always wanted grape flavored anything because it was purple.
11. Kyle would rather draw/doodle then play a video game. He doesn't see the point in sitting in front of a television, mindlessly trying to kill zombies/vampires/whatever the latest trend is. Plus, tv's are expensive, but he can usually get his hands on a piece of paper and a pen.
12. He doesn't know who his dad is, his mom never told him, that is, if she even knows. She was apparently something of a slut back in college and was knocked up with him her freshman year - he was nothing but a mistake and she never let him forget that he ruined her life.
