Worked 48 hours last week, 58 this week, and it'll probably be 60 hours next week. The pay is pretty sweet, but I'm having a tough time adjusting to the hours. I need to wake up at 4 am, drive half an hour to get there at 5, and weekdays are 10 hour shifts with 5-10 hours on Saturdays. Just a few weeks ago, I was staying up until 4 am, so it's taking me a while to get into this whole "sleep at night" thing.
Check this out, it's a volunteer audiobook reading of Padraic Colum's Children of Odin: Nordic Gods and Heroes. Takes various events from the eddas and collates them into one storybook kind of format. They're missing some stuff, like half of Loki's
epic rap battle with the other gods at Aegir's feast and where Sleipnir came from, but it's still a pretty darn coherent retelling of Norse mythology from sources that don't always agree. Got me to name Romo's latest chewtoy Draupnir. I <3 Librivox. Need to look into getting another MP3 player so I can listen to books at work.
