Soldering on
I've got a soldering test lined up with a manufacturer tomorrow that could see me gainfully employed in short order. It's lined up as a temporary position with the possibility of full-time after three months. It's not the IT techie job I was hoping for, but it does line up with my previous experience and I'm pretty confident about landing it. I hear good things about the company as a place to work, too.
