Revengeance is a dish best served with snips of parsely and a red sauce set to the side.

Wednesday night we had our snow. Thursday morning we went to work at 10 because the roads were mostly clear, and the snow had largely melted. My group was going to work Friday for five hours of much-needed overtime, but because of the delay it was only two hours of overtime. Oh well, two is better than zero.
After work let out I made a trip to Rainbow Records on the hunt for anything I could find. I managed to snag a couple of Savatage albums from the Used CDs bin, but I also wanted to finally own some Iron Maiden. Unfortunately they didn't have what I was looking for Used, so I decided it might as well be THE ESSENTIAL IRON MAIDEN if I was going to pay full price. There isn't a weak song on the whole collection.
After that, I also dropped by the library to browse and keep my laptop updated. As I was plucking up some graphic novels and comics, I glanced at the shelf to the left. GASP! I must have it, since it's a good chance to get ahold of my favorite tracks while also listening to stuff I haven't heard. Now I has it. It is awesome. Oh, if only I didn't have moral qualms about ripping and burning it!
I seem to have developed a strong taste for the progressive, epic, symphonic, perhaps over-wrought side of metal and rock which my friends describe as "theatrical." I don't see it as a bad thing.
Yesterday we had a "winter mix" warning from 6 am - midnight, with snow allegedly being more prominent in the second half of the day and a possibility of getting up to three inches. Turns it it mainly rained, and when it finally did start snowing in earnest nothing stuck because the ground was covered in water. Then it got very cold and the puddles turned to ice. We're supposed to be in for some "freezing rain" on Tuesday. Why can't we have any of the FUN winter weather?

Artfight update: This is for messing with the hair! I was productive and drew this in a single session (with breaks). I was feeling ambitious, and also vengeful! Don't ask me why whitespace spontaneously has reinforced concrete support columns.
Technical minutiae: I scanned it in two parts because the underside glass of my scanner has dark, grimy patches that tend to show up and ruin a picture.
The printer paper I've been using (since the switch from notebook paper) shows up very dark, and the pencil lines only faintly. I keep having to down the brightness during the scan, or risk having the picture only half-seen. This time I increased the brightness a tad, -4 instead of -6. It also seems to help if I use the Sharpen feature in Irfanview before converting from .png to .jpeg. If I don't use it, the .jpeg gets blurrier. If I use it afterwards, it makes the artefacts more pronounced and the paper appears even darker. I'll have to try and find a better paper once my supply runs out. It's either that or start inking again, and I think we all know that's not going to happen any time soon.
The date by my signature is today's because, by the time I finishing up, I was honestly falling asleep. Thought about holding off a day, but decided to see it through! And then forgot to change the date.
