July Update

It's been a long time since I've done a journal update - more than 7 months. Things have been going quite well, and although I always want to do a journal update so I can look back in time, I never have time to actually sit down and write something. I won't make this too long, but updates like these help jog my memory.

In June, I walked down the aisle. No, not the wedding yet, CA won't let me do that yet, but I officially graduated UCLA. While I finished my studies in December, the official graduation ceremony is held annually in June. It was nice to gather with my family and celebrate this achievement.

Work has been going well. As with most companies, there have been a lot of changes along the road, but I'm holding on tight and doing the best I can. I'm always up for exceeding sales goals and giving it my all. I also want to move up and develop myself within the company. However, with the current economic climate, I have decided to stay where I am at since I am doing well. I know the last person hired is the first one to go if layoffs occur, and I'd rather stay with my current title and do well in my position than be the first on the list to get the boot. When times get better, I'll continue to try and work my way up in the company.

Before I leave the work topic, my commercial is doing well. It just stopped airing a few weeks ago in the Los Angeles Market. I just found out that as of last week, it is going national. That's very exciting to see myself on TV, especially since I"m not an actor and haven't applied to go on auditions or anything of that nature.

Mike and I are doing well. Things are pretty much the same, we are still living in Canoga Park, and hope to eventually buy a home. While the markets are down, we are looking, but we need to save more money for a down payment that will suit our budget. We are planning on visiting Walt Disney World at the end of this month for a 1 week vacation. We both love WDW, and Mike will be in the area anyway for business, so he extended his trip and I used some vacation time.

I know this was a short update, but I will try my hardest to do more frequent and short updates in the future. :)

school, work, mike
