The Final Countdown
Two days left.
As is always the case, this summer started out way too slow, picked up speed and ended before I was ready for it to. I think I finally realized I'm leaving in two days. It didn't hit me before, but what with the complete lack of clothing to wear (all packed up) and my dad whining about me wanting to leave at 11:00 rather than get up before there's any light and leave - it's kind of being drilled into my head that I'm leaving.
I feel better prepared this year at least. I've got a decent television, an x-box, another computer to run as a server, a bunch of LAN gear, all my old stuff (stereo, computer, etc.) and I actually have some determination this time around. Plus I've got a few extra friends up there this year. You're all welcome to visit any time you feel like it too. Just drop me a line beforehand to make sure I'll be there.
Oh yah, we have a wasp nest outside our window. It's pretty cool...probably at least 4 inches wide and it's got a group of about 7 to 10 wasps on it at all times. Since I don't go into the backyard that much it doesn't really bother me, though I guess we should get rid of it before it becomes a problem (like the bees that nested inside our front yard water faucet that one year...boy they weren't happy when we had to use the water). If any of you wants to see a wasp nest with actual wasps on it drop by before it's down.
Well, I'm off to keep looking for stuff I'm forgetting (and probably heading to the store a few times).
