Long Overdue Update

Today is a beautiful day at the beach. Light breeze coming off the coast and bright sunshine. One of those days that is much better spent on the beach than sitting at home.

Well the latest is Nomadd started his fall semester at the local jr college. This time the class is fingerprinting. So far he says he likes it. Oh he also became an official motorcycle rider as of the beginning of the month. He got a Harley Sportster a while back. So he went and took the riders course to learn how to safely drive it. He passed it right before his birthday so now he can take it out and drive it where ever he wants to go.

I should get myself enrolled again and go take the nine classes that I need to get my forensics degree. Although I am dragging my feet because while yes I want to stay in the criminal justice field a part of me is not wanting to take more classes that I might not be able to do with my arm. So I have to figure out what other options I have open to me.

As for things with the kiddo it is hard to believe she is going to be a sophomore in high school this year. The time is going by so fast. It seems like yesterday she was just starting jr high school now she is in high school. She is all stoked thinking she can start learning to drive come October. That truly terrifies me. The thought of my daughter behind the wheel of a motor vehicle is just about my worst nightmare. Although she would not be allowed to actually drive licensed until she becomes sixteen in April. So there is still a bit of a reprieve. ::ponders if they will allow the teen to drive something the strength of a tank to keep her safe::.

As to everything else....its been a rather mixed bag. I got sick a few weeks ago. Not sure exactly what is what but still not feeling all that great. So I am taking things day by day and not pushing the envelope as to doing too much. Although I have to say being home is much better than being in the hospital. I got tired of being the human pin cushion and missing Nomadd and my daughter.
