Random Things
Well the Vegas Trip was great for the most part. Nomadd and I stayed at Harrahs and had a ball. Although we came back with less cash than we left with. We met some WONDERFUL people from on line that we had known for years but never physically met. Mookie Moo,Pheonixfyr and BirchFire are great. Thirteen Candles and his wife oh so rock. I finally got to meet Moo Babi Moo and her husband and I can say without a doubt that Moo is just as wonderful in person as she is on line and her hubby is just as great. I also got to meet BklynWitch70 and Bouviers Love oh yeah and DocLngHair which was a great experience as well. Of course There were LdyShaylyn and her mate and BAC Witch there as well so all in all we had a wonderful party for Moos birthday. And it was great to finally meet those that I call friends face to face. Heh and I would have sooooo killed to have had a video camera to tape Nomadd walking from the parking garage to The Excalibur Casino since the wind was making its presence known and Nomadd had to hold his kilt down in both the front and the back. Heh the weekend went way to fast and we made it back to San Diego at almost midnight so needless to say we were asleep before we hit the pillow.
As most of those that read this knew I was hurt on the job in 2000 my shoulder was messed up but even after surgery I was having problems that never got better. Well we now know why. It seems that my neck was messed up at the same time and well the symptoms that continued are due to that. In a nutshell C2-C7 in my cervical spine are not as the should be. With two sets being really bad. The C5-C6 has a 5mm bulge that is pushing on my cervical cord and the nerves on the right side and just at the edge on the ones on the left and the C6-7 is only at 2mm which isn't nearly as bad but not all that wonderful either. The others are out but minor compared to these. Well needless to say the problem has caused great pain and well my right arm is pretty much numb as in to what I can feel when I try to touch something.....hence why the dishes cower when they see me ::grins::. Well the spine specialist says I have to have surgery ASAP. Although they may not be able to save the nerves that are being cut off by the bulging disk. Well I have read up on the surgery and although it is not my idea of a good time I will do it for the chance of getting my life back after almost four years. Nomadd has been wonderful the whole time we have been together helping me do the things I cannot do like lift the pans of food off the stove, carrying the laundry basket and the like...even cooking dinner on the really BAD days. My daughter Kym has also been wonderful dealing with mom falling apart :o). After my neck heals I will have another shoulder surgery to deal with the scar tissue that formed under the ball joint in my shoulder....so maybe that will give me a bit more of movement that I lost from the injury and the first surgery to fix my shoulder.
Oh yeah Nomadd is building a new computer since his old HD seemed to bite the big one. Heh so far he has gotten good deals on most of the parts. The case rocks and well it has pretty lights inside....lol so now I joke that the computer can do tricks. ::grins and runs like hell:: So hopefully he will have his new computer up and running by the end of the weekend. Of course I am going to have to try out the new system and see if it is any good and if I can play with graphics on it and get any faster results than this old dinosaur can give me. ALthough in all honesty this old IBM does pretty good for a system that is just about nine years old.....damn I didn't realize it was quite that old yet. Lol I am still waiting for the computer fairy to drop a new one in my lap but damn it she keeps missing the house.
Oh yeah and the kiddo is just about offically a high school student. Quick someone throw her in a closet and not let her out till she has hit 18 ::Grins::. She is getting awsome grades in school and next year she has honors classes in Algebra, English and Physics. Now mind you the Honors Physics calss was HER idea. Although the only thing I wasn't happy about was her dropping band class in favor of Drama....although I guess if she likes Drama class then I will be ok with it but I wonder how long she will like it when she realizes it means performing in public. She is looking forward to going to high school...I am so blessed having a kid that LOVES going to school. Of course she is truely an amazing kid. Even if she seems to think she needs to keep her hair short and now keep it black.....lol but I guess I can deal with the black hair as long as she doesn't give herself a mohawk or something like that.
Heh she now admits to why she likes going to the christian youth group she goes to on Wednesdays. One to spend time with her friend Carly from school that she seldom gets the chance to see this year at school and to get hugs from a high school guy as she puts it has beautiful eyes and smells good. Although the first person their to befreinded her besides her friend from school commited suicide a couple of months back. She was devistated and couldn't understand why she would do that. So she took it pretty hard that she lost the friend. Oh and her band class should be at a compition as we speak up by Magic Mountain. They left this morning and will be back really late tomorrow night. They will get to the hotel at about 11:30pm tonight and Tomorrow morning they go to Magic Mountain. Those kids are going to be WIPED out when they get home tomorrow night but they should have a ball.
