(no subject)
I am feeling sort of homesick the last couple of days. I find as it gets closer to me being home that I miss home more. The fact that my lovely manfriend and I have already begun making plans for my two (and a bit) months at home. And I actually think winter won't be so upsetting this year because it has a clear expiry date of the 10th of February.
In other (frustrating) news: The weather hasn't quite decided what its doing here. Today it was 18 and windy. Yesterday was 29 and humid. I have a sore throat that seems to be migrating to territorialize my whole head; my first Australian cold. OSAP is still frustrating.
I went to Cauliflower Hotel with some friends and Tinashe today to watch the Melbourne Cup. Considering that horseraces last such a short time, the Aussies sure do make a big deal out of them. I have to admit that despite my deep dislike of horses in the flesh, it was quite exciting to watch the race for its whole minute. Besides today, I've finally been to the Zoo and it was excellent. I saw lions, tigers, and bears (OH MY!). Hallowe'en weekend was tons of fun. I dressed up like Poison Ivy and we went on a cruise of the Sydney Harbour put on by the Latin club here in Sydney. Bizarre, I know.
