Just want to write about my cute Pomeranian puppy because I miss him soooo much right now! Last Saturday I took Beau to the Vet for the first time to get his very first rabies shot. Beau was such a tough boy, he didn't even yelp or flinch when the shot was given!
While I was at the clinic, I saw four other Pomeranians. With the exception of one Pomeranian, Beau was the biggest of them all. The biggest Pomeranian was this overweight Pom that was about 18 inches tall. He was as wide as he was long and when he walked, he looked like a strolling Yoga ball!
Two of the four Pomeranians were sisters. The two puppies looked exactly like Beau except they were 2 months younger. When they saw Beau, they started scrambling over one another to get close to him. Beau must be a real ladies' men!
Anyway, I had come to the conclusion that Beau was a very smart puppy. You see, he slept in my room Saturday night but I left the door to my room opened the whole time. My Mom would probably say it was a bad idea as that made it easier for the puppy to go potty all over the place with all these access.
However, Beau did not do that at all. In fact, at 6:30am Sunday morning, I heard this big smacking sound on my mattress. I turned around and saw that cute little Beau had placed his two paws on my mattress while standing on his hindlegs. Apparently, smacking on the mattress was his way of telling me that he had to go potty in the backyard.
After I let him out to the yard and let him back in when he was done going potty, I went back to sleep. However, an hour later he smacked my mattress again. This time, I ignored him as I wanted to sleep. Figuring that I wanted to sleep, Beau went next door and smacked my sister's mattress instead!
Later that day I went back to Diamond Bar, leaving Beau in the care of my sister. Later on that day my sister called me and said that the puppy missed me. She said she would try to play with Beau but his heart wouldn't be in it. After a while he would walk into my room and sleep there.
She also said that whenever a car drove by our driveway, the puppy would run over to the top of the stairs to see if I were home. I felt so bad when I heard this, because I really missed Beau too! I never thought I would get this attached to a dog.
Even though it had only been a day, I already missed Beau terribly. This puppy had turned out to be a miracle in so many ways. Pomeranians in general are considered moody, possessive, and temperamental by nature. Yet Beau had been nothing but easy-going and mild tempered; not to mention that for a puppy his age (5 months), he was extremely well-trained and smart! This little boy is going to grow up to be a great dog~!
