another quikly written, pessimistically radical english paper.

It seems to me, that groups of this nature do more to isolate themselves than anything. Women have already been “liberated”, we have far transcended patriarchy and it’s absolutely insulting to hear that androcentrism is the root of our social and environmental problems. Is a woman really that connected to earth, with her plucked eyebrows, clogged pores, and encompassing turtleneck? It’s not a male’s dominance over the female that is the root of our environmental problems; it is the male’s subliminal instinct to create and progress. Ecofeminists employ the same victimized role that they are trying to exceed, opposing pretty much whatever is related to the male; the other half of the reproductive process. Supposedly “mother earth” is a term expressed by the male’s desire, not just a good metaphor. And right after they protest male’s feminization of nature, ecofeminists turn around and apply the same feminine trait, “reconceptualizing” the term as “sister earth.” I guess the earth doesn’t provide for us like a mother does, I guess that’s bad that males look up to their mothers, maybe we should desire our sisters, maybe we should reconceptualize nature as an “a-sexual worm” not assuming any sexual attribute. It’s heartening to hear that ecofeminists acknowledge the existence of serious contradictions, priding themselves, like that of a punk rocker with rich parents. Female? Care for the environment? Did your father dominate you, have you ever struggle with a personal relationship, or does the male just subconsciously threaten you? Need something to entertain and fill the gap of unfullfillment? (Which is essentially the very core of all societal discrepancy, and earthly detachment). Become an ecofeminist! We’ll have discussion circles about male dominance, forgetting to converse ways of benefiting the environment, then go home, clean, and weep in the windowsill next to our plants wishing we had a man at the end of the night. Hah! Just kidding. I do actually agree with a lot of what backs the ecofeminist theory, but the group’s overall agenda tends to lose its support, when it starts to contradict, juvenilely oppose, and assume the same centrism that they speak against; like females are specially connected to the earth in some way that a male isn’t. From what I’ve gathered, all Homo sapiens are a hazard to the environment and one day this a-sexual worm will decide to eliminate all of mankind...oh and womankind too. It is then that we will have absolute equality, liberated to the depths of the soil lying below our clipped toenails.
