So I'm kind of confused.

On the jejustforlaughs meme, there was this prompt:

Groups/Pairings/Individuals: Tegoshi/Massu
Rating: Um, anything.
Prompt: Massu is an elephant trainer at a zoo who has a crush on the cute cashier at the gift shop. Bonus points for Massu going to his elephants for love advice.
Extra: I don't even know where I got this idea

maybe you could do like a 'what if tegomass were in love' , like an AU kind of fic ? it'll be like an alternate plot kind of thing ? you can carry on with your original story about KT and NEWS (which I'm kinda excited to hear about =w=) and write the tegomass fic too :D

I am gonna be continuing with it. I actually took that prompt, I'm gonna make it into a prequel for my story.

Y'know what? Ueda is the lion trainer XP. Well, big cats. Same thing. You'll have to wait to find out what everyone else is, though. I'm a tease like that. XD

write it. it's not uncommon that more than one person would get that idea, especially with the gay elephants in the news/tm concerts. xD if you want to cya, you could say that you had already thought about writing sth like it when you saw it on the meme and LOL ISN'T THAT A COINCIDENCE?! and that made you want to finish it, which is all true. i just wouldn't post it on the meme since it's not tm.

personally i don't see any problem with more than one person writing the same plot (that is to say, people ask for things i've already written on memes all the time xD), usually they end up doing it differently anyway. so i say go for it and screw what anyone else thinks. :Dv

You should go for it. I had a similar case with my comic. A friend of I decided to make a comic that is almost the same as mine (theme-like), I had it all planned already and when she wrote about it on her journal it was sudden for me. But in the end we are both posting and it's all good, because they are different.
You got a similar idea, so what? You know how many fics with the same (and I'm talking on the unique themes) I read? It doesn't matter really.
Anyway it sounds cool :D
