G'bye frying pan, I'm off to see what this "fire" thing is like.
Friday's final was great, actually, despite the fact that it was harder than expected. I read through all my labs and data, then the entire textbook (granted, a slim one, about 250 pages of lab techniques). I was headed into the library when Jeremy came up and started a chat. We had lunch and then crashed on the grass to study for an hour or so. Instead of going to the gym, as planned, we talked about Boston and the differences between coasts and biology and college. He's a year older and actually knows what he's going to do with bio, so it was especially interesting to hear what he had to say about it. I think I did well enough on the final to keep an A.
Yesterday, I tried studying outside again, but without someone to ask questions of me and to ask questions of, I fell asleep. Unfortunately, there was less shade this time, and I spent a few minutes this morning gawking at my oddly tanned body. Damn tan. Don't want skin cancer. Don't want to be all patchy, light and dark.
At my weekly chiropractic appointment, Dr. Illo inspected my progress from last week and announced that I wouldn't need the to be coming for the rest of summer, as expected. My back likes being in the right place and stays there willingly. Shocking. So, I'm almost done with treatment. It's only been three days since the last visit, but I'm still pain-free. I can hardly believe it, after the last six years.
Well. I miss Certain People quite a bit. I'll be back in less than a month, though. I'll hold out.
Family policy is that if they have to be quiet after ten pm so I can get to sleep, I have to be quiet until at least ten am on weekends so they can sleep in. This also permits me guilt-free leisure time in the mornings. I've fifteen minutes to go. I suppose I'd better wrap things up.
Let's see. Today will be chores till eleven, an orgo chapter, lunch, another chapter, a break, a third chapter. Snack time (Mom made brownies) and then review of chapters 11-14, with notes from class and reaction sheets I have yet to create. Once I get that all down, I'll go back to past chapters and work in them. Then, dinner. And reading. And bed. Whee.
health,
