Review:
Just a beautiful movie with wonderful performances from Nagasaku Hiromi and Inoue Mao. Youkame no Semi definitely deserved all the awards it received as the director really did a great job intertwining the two stories of Kiwako and Erina. I was touched by the ending scene with Mao-chan. IMO that last scene sealed the deal for her win at the Japan Academy Awards. Despite the struggles and heartbreak that were presented in the movie, Erina still had hope for a positive future.
