Yes, ALL of you. *bricked* Actually, just probably Reyna. XD But that's okay. PS: Be warned. I have a potty mouth in this issue.
So. On Sunday, I got to go to the awesomest of awesome concerts to ever happen in the north west. ...This year. One of my FAVORITE J-Rock bands came to the states to tour with some fucking retards called the Deaftones (who suck hardcore, BTW... their fans suck even more), and I got to see them. FOR ONCE. I literally CRIED when L'Arc~en~Ciel came a couple of years ago... (Or was that last year?) And then I died a little on the inside when I learned that Miyavi and Gackt were at Anime Expo. (Skin is fucking HAWT, BTW. I hate Gackt, and even I will admit that him pairing up with Miyavi-sama was gorgeous.) I got to see M.O.V.E. at Sakura-Con, and I was a happy kitty. I was an even happier kitty on Sunday when I got to see Dir en Grey.
The first band that played was stupid. They needed to get off the stage after their first song. Idiots. Pretty much everyone save for like, 3 people in the front agreed that they SUCKED majorly, and it felt like FOREVER for them to fucking leave. Now, here's the thing... My sister and I had a pretty good spot where were ended up being at first. We could see the stage (save for some fucking ASSHOLE that was 8 FUCKING FEET TALL decided it was a good idea to stand right in front of me), get some decent pictures, and were clear of the fuckers moshing. Well, I decided that THAT spot wasn't good enough... How stupid I was. We got closer... And where we moved to? Even BETTER pictures and stage sight. I started freaking out when I saw the stage crew unroll the sign for Dir en Grey. You guys have no idea how much getting to see them meant to me... NO ONE did. God, I should have stayed where I originally was... Everything was going great. I could see, I could get awesome shots just for Reyna, and I was feeling really good about everything.
Cue shit to happen.
Some asshole... and his anorexic girlfriend... began smoking pot right next to me.
Most of you know how sensitive I am to smoke. I'm fucking ALLERGIC. If I'm exposed to too much of any kind of smoke without enough clean air to breath, I black out, I get nauseated, I just in general get very sick. (Coughing, hacking, spacing out... Unable to concentrate on much of anything, extreme dizziness... All that lovely stuff.)
The lights turned down... Flashing red lights came up... Music started to play. I see Kyou walk onto the stage, taking a swig of water, and spitting it up into the air. Damn, that was an awesome enterance if you had actually seen it...
Cue shit to happen.
The fucking idiots... those God damn sons of bitches... BARREL MOSHED right to the front of the stage. Someone had knocked into my sister very hard... Elbowed her back like whoa. I was terrified of the look on her face... XD;; She looked about ready to kill somebody. A mosh started... Someone slammed into her again, she knocked into me, and I almost fell over. I'm glad I didn't, because I probably wouldn't be writing this if I was... *would probably either be in the hospital or sitting around with broken limbs, the pit was THAT BAD* Had I gone to the concert by myself, I probably would have tried to stay where I was... However, I was extremely worried about Jeni (who is the most anti-social person you will ever meet, has a small case of claustrophobia, and who I'm almost positive has progressed from being merely medically depressed to fully bi-polar), so we high-tailed it to the back where it was safe. I was still dizzy from the pot-smoking-fucktards, so I was beyond frustrated by the time I got back there, and EXTREMELY upset because we were no longer able to get very good pictures PERIOD.
While we were trying to collect ourselves, Jeni pointed something out to me: after the first song, Kyou was suddenly shirtless.
"Hey Lisa, look."
"Hm?"
"Look at the shirtless Kyou on stage."
"... o//////////////////////////o <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3"
Damn he was hot. XD I was still in a sulky mood, so I could only sit there and STARE, so my sister, being a sweetheart just for me, braved up and shoved into the crowd. Just to get me a couple of pictures. I may hate her, but I still love that woman to death. After a while, we worked up enough nerve to get back into the crowd of people, but we couldn't get close enough to get better pictures. We did get some good ones, but... not as good as they could have been, ya know? When we got back into the crowd, we heard some Deaftone assholes (not fans, ASSHOLES) heckling the poor band. How disrespectful... It's rare for J-Rock/J-Pop bands to have major concerts in this area, and if people are going to be like that, how can we expect them to want to come back? ;.; Jerks. I wanted to throw things at them, but I didn't have anything to do so. If only I'd worn my 6" Mary Jane's... *changed her mind at the last minute* Weapons of Mass Destruction? Why, I'm wearing them on my feet! Aren't they just DARLING? <3
The rest of the concert was pretty much uneventful. Dir en Grey played a complete set (YAAAAAY!), and they were throwing out water bottles at random points and dumping water on people in the front. It was awesome. At the end of their set, the guitarists threw out their guitar picks into the crowd, and the drummer threw out his sticks. IT SUCKED ASS BECAUSE I WAS SO CLOSE TO GETTING A WATER BOTTLE AND ONE OF THE STICKS. That made me a sad kitty... but shirtless Kyou totally makes up for EVERYTHING that happened. <3 And you know what was funny? About half the crowd left once they were done, because no one wanted to see the Deaftones. HA HA!
So all in all, despite the shit that happened, I had a good time. I'm really glad I got to go, and I wish you could have been there with me, Reyna. <3 Describing it really isn't enough... NEXT TIME!! BTW, woman, I really hope you're serious about coming to Sakura-Con maybe next year, because Gaia is finally coming. >3 <3 AFTER THREE LONG YEARS OF WAITING, THEY ARE COMING!! Lock and load, people. The internet is coming.
Sweetling, I'll upload pictures for you as soon as I can get them from my sister. <3
