Worst Bike shop: Stan's Monrovia

Stan, you are a jackass. No, I wasn't satisfied. No, I don't want your excuses. Yes, I got different stories from different people. And when you bring Mike into it, and say if he was a man he'd be there with me to talk to him, YOU FUCKED UP. (1) He is more man than you will ever be as he can admit when he makes a mistake. (2) He was out riding, as he worked all morning. Guess having a real job makes you not a man. (3) Why the fuck can't I (or any girl for that matter) deal with it? It is my bike. Yes, I get emotional, but I'm anal about my bikes. Deal with it. I'm not the only biker like that, and if you expect to run a business dealing with bikers you are going to get people who are particular about their bikes. Maybe I'm not MAN enough? And girls can't ride? Well I kicked your ass when we rode together. Guess you just don't have the customer service at your shop to have happy customers.

Oh, and I was being honest when I said Mike doesn't want to bring his bike in now either. He told me that. But are you in 2nd grade?? Your response "well then next time someone asks me for a chiropractor I will bad mouth his business" is FUCKED UP. Just because I'm not happy with service you have done, and he isn't happy with it, he doesn't want you touching his bikes. That's a fact of DOING A BAD JOB. Oh, and by the way, when I told him you said that, he said basically screw you, you've never sent him business anyways. And I just thought of something else. If it was *sooo hard* to track down a number for him, and you don't know his last name and weren't sure where he worked (besides the fact that I know I've told you and he has and that he had cards in your store for a while), HOW THE FUCK DO YOU PLAN TO BAD MOUTH HIS BUSINESS? Oh, and what do you plan to say your reason for not liking him is? His girlfriend didn't like the job your shop did on her bike? Maybe it's just how you do your business -- it's all about loyalty, and not quality. Too bad with me it takes quality to build that loyalty: I've had my bike into you guys twice, and neither time was I satisfied. I'm done letting you try.

Oh and I just thought of another thing... if it is my fault for having ridden on a bad chain for a while, WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T YOUR SHOP CATCH THAT THE CHAIN WAS BAD WHEN I BROUGHT THE BIKE IN AROUND MARCH OR APRIL? So really, I could blame the fact that the cassette might be worn on your shop's lack of good work LAST TIME.

And as a side note, when I told you that I honestly don't care about all the management changes going on, your answer of "well then why should we care about your bike?" just shows how immature and stupid you are. Your world isn't mine. I paid for a certain job to be done, and that was about my bike. So you should care. I didn't pay for your excuses or life story.

Well I hope that one great mechanic who I brought my bike in for today (that didn't get to work on it last time for some reason, or today since you were too busy being an ass to let him do the tune up I asked for) quits. 'Cause then I'll still take my bike to him. But as it is, you and your insane markup will get no more of my money or support. Oh about that new chain? The one you want $35 for? That your (not so great) mechanic told me not to worry about since he doesn't know how to deal with people? Fuck that, too. I have a chain here in the box and I'll return that one to you. It's Ultegra, just like you put on my bike, and cost $27 (even a Dura Ace one would only run $33).

Have fun on your shop rides. Keep ridding 4+ across on busy roads, and running stop signs while in shop jerseys. It fits the image of your shop. And I'll continue my search for a group to ride with and a good shop to take my bikes to and recommend to others.

road bike, unhappy
