Tuesday night was awesome... Stephen and I tried the yoga offered at the apartment, and although I went in with low expectations that instructor was great! Made me feel comfortable, and have a great attitude of trying but not pushing your body harder than it was ready for. As well left, Stephen's knee was no longer bugging him and I was way less stressed. From there we jumped in the pool (it was the perfect temperature! I got in 1000 yards of a mix of swim, pulling, and drills) and then a quick hot tub session before making boca burgers. I think we'll have to do that more often.
Great swim last night... Jed ended up totally being my hero and making it so I could swim in the Pomona pool around 7:30. Damn it's warm water! But it's great to be able to swim outdoors all the time. One of the benefits of living in this area. But I got in 1600 yards (300 swim, 100 pull, repeated 4 times). Or at least around 1600. I had a few times of "huh... I can't remember what number that was" in the 300s, and so I'd always go back to the last one I remembered being on ;-) Also got to meet the Pomona-Pitzer swim coach. Seemed like a cool guy. I hear rumor from Jed that he might be interested in getting a masters group going in the area. I'm all for that... and would totally help out as much as I could.
It left me in a good mood last night as well, and I had fun watching Holly and Jeremy carve some freakin' sweet pumpkins. So today is starting with leftover feelings of that comfort, and sucess, and smooth glidey water. Works for me!
Oh, and also last night, in The Monster vs. sock, sock won. The Monster (as named by one of his friends) is now dead. [You don't want to see a pic... just know that The Monster was one of the largest and oddest blisters my foot has ever had]
