- The story is very exciting to me and I like a mystery novel.
Summarize what you read in five to ten sentences.
- Sherlock Holmes and his friend, Watson, stay Holmes's house. Very early one morning, a young woman, dressed in black, came to see them. She looked tried and unhappy and said that "Please help me! I'm not thirty yet and look at my grey hair! I'm so afraid!" Few minutes later, She tell them about the story. "I live with my stepfather and my sister. My stepfather is very violent, so everybody's afraid of him now.
My sister died two years ago, and that's why i'm here. One evening I heard my sister's scream, then I heard a whistle. I didn't what it was. My sister's face was white and she became died. Two days ago I had to move to my sister's bedroom, and I heard that whistle again! I'm so afraid!" Helmes visit the house in the dark. Suddenly, he saw a light and heard a sound from the stepfather's room. Holmes jumped up and hit something. Finally, he solve that problem.
What is your favorite part?
- Holmes hit the snake on the rope, it was angry and went back through the air-vent. And so it killed the stepfather.
Were there any interesting ideas or events?
- The stepfather killed his doughter. I don't know why? It is tragic.
What are some questions you have for the text?
- Why the stepfather kill his doughter
