wow
I haven't posted in ages. But I ran into ytsemaddy and her hubby Chris at the Extreme/King's X concert last weekend, and it seemed worth a post. I love meeting people previously only known on live journal. They were very nice and it was fun to run into people unexpectedly at a concert in another city. The concert was good too. King's X was really good, and I loved Music Over My Head. Extreme was also very good. Nuno is my new personal guitar hero. And I got to see Hole Hearted and More than Words. I was a little creeped out by the lead singer's hair. All that long straight black hair I remembered from the More than Words video is no more and has been replaced by a short crop job in bleach blond. Its just not right. He was totally over the top too. He would do this big collapsy move to end pretty much every song, at one point laid down and flipped his legs up over his head (at which point I burst into hysterical laughter), and then he literally spend 30% of the evening shaking his butt at the audience, while looking over his shoulder. Lucky for me I could ignore him when he got too crazy and just watch the guitar pro workshop that was Nuno.
And now, I've decided that in returning to LJ I'd begin my posting the birthday meme
On April 4th (my birthday) the following happened:

1968- Martin Luther King was assassinated (I've always hated that this is the most notable thing that happened on my birthday as it was such a sad and horrible loss)
